Wk 2 Wikis vs. Blogs

As defined from the O’Reilly website “A wiki is a website where users can add, remove, and edit every page using a web browser.” Wikis are used for collaboration – so anything where a group or team need to share information would be good use for a wiki. An example might be where a policy or report needs to be read and revised and you need multiple people to review and edit it.

A Blog as defined by yes, Wikipedia –is “(an abridgment of the term web log) .. a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. Marketingterms.com defines a blog as “a frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links.”
G. Turbull states "the blog concept is about three things: Frequency, Brevity and Personality."
Blogs can be used to share thoughts on a topic or share news or an event coming up. People who read a blog usually read it to find out new information or of course the thoughts of the blog creator.
